Emergency Services That Put Your Safety First

Emergency Services - PACE KC

Medical emergencies can happen without warning. At PACE KC, we make sure you’re protected with immediate access to emergency services—anytime, anywhere. Whether you're at home or traveling within the United States or its territories, you are covered in the event of a true emergency.

Our goal is to give you peace of mind knowing that you can get lifesaving care when every second counts—without worrying about prior approval or coverage limitations.

What to do in a medical emergency

In any life-threatening situation, always call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room. You do not need prior authorization from PACE KC to receive emergency treatment. Your health and safety come first.

Recognizing an emergency

Knowing when to seek emergency care can save lives. If you or a loved one experiences sudden, severe, or unexplained symptoms—such as difficulty breathing, intense chest pain, sudden confusion, or major injuries—don’t wait. These could be signs of a serious medical emergency that requires immediate attention. Always err on the side of caution and seek emergency care right away.

Once the emergency is under control, PACE KC will step in to coordinate your care and support your recovery—whether that means a hospital stay, skilled nursing care, or at-home services.

Covered care without the red tape

As part of our all-inclusive care model, emergency services are fully covered for participants. We work directly with providers and hospitals to handle the billing, so you can focus on healing—not paperwork.

We're here when it matters most

Emergencies can be scary, but you don’t have to face them alone. PACE KC is your partner in care, before, during, and after a crisis. Contact us to learn more about how emergency services are integrated into our all-inclusive care program.
